Your first visit to LoVerdi Dental is designed to be relaxed, informative, and personalized to your needs. Patients aged 3 and up are welcome, and appointments typically take about one hour.
You’ll meet Dr. LoVerdi, talk through any concerns or goals, and receive a full evaluation of your oral health. This visit is a great opportunity to ask questions, get familiar with the practice, and feel confident about your dental care.
Here’s how your first visit to LoVerdi Dental starts:
- A conversation about your health history and dental goals
- Dr. LoVerdi will do a thorough oral health evaluation, including a gum health check using gentle periodontal probing
If it’s been a while since your last dental visit, don’t worry. There’s no judgment here—just a supportive team committed to helping you move forward so you can achieve a healthier smile.
Advanced Technology, Comfortable Experience
State-of-the-Art Imaging for Your Comfort
Modern imaging tools help make your visit easier and more efficient, while also giving a clearer picture of your oral health. These tools help us spot issues early and explain them in a way that’s easy to understand.
What you might experience:
- Digital X-rays, compared to traditional X-rays, have much lower radiation. They also offer crystal-clear images and instant results.
- A small stick will be placed gently between your teeth, which is part of our wide-view imaging system. This provides a complete view to help us better understand what’s happening behind the scenes.
- A full-mouth series of X-rays with bitewings will only be taken when clinically needed.

Professional Teeth Cleaning
What to Expect
If everything looks healthy, a routine dental cleaning may be done during your first visit. This type of cleaning (called prophylaxis) helps remove plaque and tartar and keeps your smile feeling fresh.
If signs of gum disease are present, a deeper cleaning (scaling and root planing) will be scheduled separately. Your gum health matters as much as your teeth, and treatment is always tailored to what’s best for your overall oral health.

Young patients are welcome at LoVerdi Dental starting at age 3. Our team creates calm, positive experiences to help kids feel comfortable and build good dental habits early. First visits for kids focus on gentle evaluations, education, and making the dental office feel familiar and safe. Parents are encouraged to ask questions and be involved in the process. It’s all about creating a supportive, low-stress environment for everyone.

- A cost estimate and payment discussion
There will be plenty of time to ask questions and explore options. Treatment plans are always customized, with your goals, preferences, and schedule in mind. If no treatment is needed, that’s great news—and our team can schedule your next routine checkup in around six months.
